I hope to inspire more women to embrace turbulence of midlife transition, use its lessons to fuel reinvention, and boldly step into their Becoming to create lives they love.
Hello there! I'm Sandra, and this is my story

In 2019, I found myself at a crossroads, grappling with the big questions: Who am I? Why am I here? What’s Next?
Life had become a maze of dissatisfaction, and I knew something had to change. Over two years post-divorce, I felt stuck in a legal career that no longer fulfilled me, disconnected in my relationships, and burdened by dreams I was too afraid to pursue. Physically and emotionally, I was crumbling.
That year, I made the choice to reclaim my life. Therapy, radical self-care, and journaling became my tools for peeling back the layers of my pain—grief from my father’s passing, a painful divorce, career setbacks, and the unraveling of relationships. These experiences had shaped me, but I realized they didn’t have to define me.
It wasn’t easy. I was raised to believe you don’t share your struggles—“never air your dirty laundry,” as the saying goes. But deep down, I felt called to tell my story, even if it meant pushing past discomfort. When I started blogging about my journey, something incredible happened: women reached out, sharing their own silent battles.
From Pain To Purpose
I realized I wasn’t alone. So many women, just like me, in the crossroads of midlife transitions and shifting identities, priorities and perspectives, were feeling stuck, overwhelmed, and unfulfilled.
It was as if everything I had built—my career, relationships, and life—was crumbling at a time when I was supposed to be at my peak. The discomfort that came with this “in-between” phase of life, the yearning for change, and the fear of what was next, were all too familiar. But it became clear that this was a shared experience.
I knew I had to create a space where women in the trenches of life’s defining seasons could find support, candid conversations, and the tools to embrace the discomfort of change and growth.
That’s how Healing Is The New Sexy® was born.
Today, my greatest hope is to inspire women to embrace the turbulence of midlife transition, use its lessons to fuel reinvention, and boldly step into their Becoming to create lives they love. This isn’t just my story—it’s ours.
“To be alive is to be in a perpetual state of revolution. Whether I like it or not, pain is the fuel of revolution. Everything I need to become the woman I’m meant to be next is inside my feelings of now. Life is alchemy, and emotions are the fire that turns me to gold.“
